Adhesive Tape Corona System
Faster and faster accelerations on the slitter cutters during the last years have created many difficulties. The solution to problems of quality in producing special no noise adhesive tapes for the packaging industry.
A fast and exact electronic control of the specific power (energy density) able to guarantee an absolute absence of noise also at the beginning and at the end of the single adhesive rolls.
Features
- Web width up to 2500 mm.
- Specific power (energy density) kept strictly constant during running. This is one of the key factors for this application.
- Corona roller covered in special silicon sleeves (possibility to overcover with special anti-sticking materials)
- Anti-sticking system. The adhesive film is moved away from the corona roller in case of stop of the line to avoid any glue to remain on the silicone.
- Rollers statically and dynamically balanced.
- Speed sensor mounted on one corona roller.
- Special electrodes in aluminium. (Possibility to install also full electrodes in stainless steel.)
- Electrodes opened pneumatically for easy webbing up.
- The construction is made to guarantee uniformity of the gap. The electrode is in fact connected to the structure not on the lateral sides but in many points on the upper beam of the station. This allows an easy expansion when running.
- High stiffness of the structure holding the electrodes. Another important point for the stability of the air-gap.
- Easy air-gap regulation from outside the hood containing the electrodes.
- Safety switches close down the power supply in case of accidental opening of the hood containing the electrodes.
- Electromagnetic (EMC) compatibility in accordance with EN-55011 and EN 50082-2 standards
- Effective waste handling no matter the number of rolls and the width of trims
- The WasteTech Unit is the optimal choice for the application in capturing the dust and side trims by vacuum right at the converting machines, cutting into small pieces and collecting in a transport container. It is a compact solution that takes up little floor space – and the automatic air filter concept is unique.
- For more than 4 decades Lundberg Tech has designed and manufactured waste handling units and systems for roll-to-roll processing machines. Our solutions are well-known and can remove trims from low-speed machines, machines operating in steps and finally high-speed machines operating at up to 2500 m/min.
- There is no limitation since Lundberg Tech is manufacturing Granulators up to a width of 660mm. We can handle trims even wider than this depending on the material.
- Dust created by the waste from production of fibre-reinforced adhesive tape can be a critical issue.
Solvent Recovery Systems
Employed in solvent-based manufacturing processes, control air emissions of solvents (VOCs Volatile Organic Compounds and HAPs, Hazardous Air Pollutants from solvent-laden air or vapor), have high recovery rates of up to 99%, compliance with strict regulations, and significant cost savings by saving up to 90% on solvent costs, have an essential role in circular economy
Benefits
Apart from its environmental advantages, the Solvent Recovery (DEC.SRUâ„¢) offers compelling economic benefits by enabling the recovery and direct reuse of solvents. Solvents play a vital role in various manufacturing processes, and their efficient use is crucial for cost-effective production. By allowing for the direct reuse of recovered solvents, the DEC.SRUâ„¢ significantly reduces the need for new solvent purchases.
The cost savings achieved through solvent recovery contribute to an impressive Return on Investment (ROI). Manufacturing facilities adopting the Solvent Recovery (DEC.SRUâ„¢) can experience a substantial reduction in operational costs related to solvent procurement.
DEC is offering several decades of experience in design and installation of the most technically advanced and efficient vapor phase activated carbon solvent recovery systems.
Thermal Oxidizers
In cases where the VOC stream is too complex to be recovered, or if the quantity of solvents is not enough to make recovery economically feasible or sustainable; a thermal oxidation technology may be the only viable option to safely and effectively destroy VOCs. The decision of which VOC abatement technology to use should be made on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the specific characteristics of the VOC stream and the environmental and economic considerations, always keeping the circular economy drivers in mind when making decisions about VOC abatement.
Thermal Oxidizers are APC air pollution control devices commonly employed in chemical industries: DEC.XTOs™ operate by decomposing hazardous gases, at high temperatures (typically around 590°C to 980°C), releasing the resulting gases into the atmosphere.
